| On August 20, 2008, CMS was contacted by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Indiana District office and informed that Mrs. Mercedes Enrique, President/CEO and Mr. Khush Mander, Vice President/COO have been selected to receive the honor of the "2008 District Minority Small Business Persons of the Year."
The SBA accepted nominations in June 2008 for this award. The award is for a small minority business that exemplifies what it takes to be a successful small business owner. To be eligible for the award, the small business must be at least 51% owned and controlled by one or more socially and economically disadvantaged individual(s), and have been in business for three years.
The U.S. SBA and the U.S. Department of Commerce's Minority Business Development Agency have partnered to host activities during the 26th annual National Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week. This year's theme will focus on "The Power of Strategic Alliances in the Global Economy."
National MED Week represents an excellent opportunity for SBA to showcase its various programs and services as well as recognize some of the best and brightest successful minority entrepreneurs. The SBA Indiana District Office will host a MED Week celebration in Indiana on September 5, 2008 where CMS executives will be honored as the "2008 District Minority Small Business Persons of the Year". |
