Ozone Piping

CMS provided and installed oxygen, ozone and chilled water pipe and fittings; provided the labor to pneumatically test newly installed piping systems; provided oxygen cleaning of stainless steel piping; installed inline flow meter devices; provided and installed a branch connection or O-let for the instrumentation devices; and installed valves. The deck mechanical work included the installation of expansion joints, flow meter, isolation valves and purge ports in the main supply lines and valves at the feed structures.

Re-Route Ash Piping

CMS demolished 24 feet of 84" x 36" ductwork to three boilers; abated the lead paint on the hoppers; cut away an 18' x 3' section from each of the hopper bottoms and outlet assemblies; and removed the refractory insulation, existing piping, and overfire fan power panels/conduit. CMS then rebuilt the three hopper bottoms with 1/4" steel plate and installed new refractory block insulation. Replace Steam/Condensate Lines

The project entailed removing the old steam pipe and replacing it with new pipe in phases and sections. After excavation, asbestos abatement was completed, allowing the existing steam piping and concrete slab to be removed. CMS started the work for the cast-in-place concrete that formed the new 230' shallow trench. While the concrete was being installed, CMS fabricated and installed the steel structures every 15' for the full length of the shallow trench. North Campus Steam Expansion Heating Plant

This project included the replacement of 8" and 12" high-pressure steam piping with 18" high-pressure steam piping from Heating Plant North to Stadium Mall Fountain. This included the removal of existing pipe, expansion joints and anchors; the installation of new expansion joints, valves, anchors, guides and supports; and the installation of 18" rotary shut-off valves (butterfly valves).
