The JV prepared a comprehensive Demolition Work Plan, including a Health & Safety Plan, Asbestos Abatement Plan and Recycling Plan specific to the demolition of Buildings 3209, 3211, 3312, 2C and 220 and renovation activities at Buildings 520, 523 and 837. Demolition of Multiple BuildingsClient: NAVFAC Midwest Location: Naval Station Great Lakes, IL Value: $1,882,208 Completion Date: March 2009 CMS Corp/TolTest JV was awarded this project for the demolition of ten buildings, four Above-Ground Storage Tanks (ASTs) and three structures. The buildings to be demolished were constructed of wood frames, concrete masonry units, concrete slabs and footers, brick and steel beams. Building 219H included a basement. The four ASTs and associated piping were constructed of steel and included electrical equipment. D/B Concrete Bridge Overpass, Muscatatuck Urban Training CenterClient: USPFO for Indiana Location: Butlerville, IN Value: $745,546 Completion Date: June 2009 CMS provided the design and construction of an overpass/bridge constructed of both concrete formed on site and prefabricated, precast concrete. The overpass/bridge will have a 24' span, 24' width and not less than a 20' rise above the footer/road surface. The road surface which passes over the overpass was covered with an asphalt surface at the proper thickness and strength to support heavy-wheeled traffic and extend to the existing roads. Concrete ReplacementClient: USACE Louisville Location: Lima Army Tank Plant, OH Value: $427,220 Completion Date: December 2007 This project provided for the removal and replacement of 3,000 square yards of nine-inch thick deteriorated reinforced concrete in a busy area of the tank plant between two major production buildings where armored vehicles and the M1 Abrahams Army tanks are built. The concrete removal was accomplished in phases to avoid interruption of tank plant operations. The concrete was saw-cut in 20' lanes. Hoe rams were used to remove the concrete in manageable-sized chunks and hauled to a construction landfill. Dowel holes were bored into the existing concrete and steel …

D/B Sanitary and Storm Sewer Project, Detroit ArsenalClient: USACE Detroit Location: Warren, MI Value: $1,097,042 Completion Date: July 2009 Work consisted of the complete design and construction to replace and modernize two reaches of sanitary sewers, and two reaches of storm sewer. One reach of sanitary sewer required two lift stations and a force main. The project also included an investigation of storm drains and sewer from Building 219 to Catch Basin 805, and the removal and replacement of an area of security fence with a security gate. Additionally, CMS provided the design and construction to modernize force protection measures to prevent access to the base from storm sewers.
